Detectives need help to identify robbery suspect

 

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department detectives are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed two Dover convenience stores.

At 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, the suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 3629 E. State Road 60 and approached the clerk at the counter to make a purchase. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the suspect lunged over the counter and struck the clerk in the head with a small object. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store.

At 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, the suspect entered the Circle K at 3307 E. State Road 60 and approached the clerk to make a purchase. The suspect again lunged over the counter and struck the clerk with a small object. The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store.

The suspect may have fled the area in a red or maroon pickup truck with a toolbox in the back.
