The Strawberry Festival Queen and Court accepted a proclamation from the Hillsborough County Commission which proclaims Feb. 27 to March 9 Florida Strawberry Festival Days.
Commissioner Higginbotham normally presents it the proclamation, but he was in Mumbai for the International Indian Film Academy awards event preparation. Commissioner Sandra Murman presented it this year.
Also in attendance was festival General Manager, Paul Davis, festival President Jim Jeffries, Plant City Mayor Mary Thomas Mathis, City Manager of Plant City Greg Horwedel, Executive Director of the Florida Strawberry Growers Association Ted Campbell and Florida Farm Bureau representative Kenneth Parker.
