Drug investigation: Two juveniles at Simmons Career Center were found to be smoking marijuana concentrate from a “vape pen” within the school. Both met the JAAP criteria and were permitted to enter the program without additional LEO intervention. 

Rifling through

300 block of East Calhoun Street

Vehicle burglary (multiple): An unknown suspect entered Brewington’s Towing and trespassed within multiple vehicles that were held at the location.

James L. Redman Parkway

Theft: Officers made contact and were advised a suspect walked out of Publix without paying for chicken wings, mac and cheese and a Coca Cola, which totaled $15.97. 

Rough night

2800 block of Sydney Road

Vehicle theft and recovery: PCPD officers made contact with this victim, whose vehicle had been impounded by Brewington’s from a private property within the county on the previous night. The victim told officers someone had stolen the vehicle. A report was generated to document the theft and recovery.

Is anybody home?

800 block of West Hamlin Street

DUI/Crash: A man was operating a vehicle while intoxicated and proceeded to crash into a home at the above listed location. He was arrested and booked for the offenses.

A heavy load

2100 block of North Park Road

Burglary/Criminal mischief: This complainant reported to offers that, between Aug. 24 and 26, someone attempted to make entry into two construction trailers at the property. They were only successful in getting into one, but then took miscellaneous tools from the trailer. However, all of the stolen tools were found strewn throughout the property. They were returned to the complainant and a burglary report and criminal mischief report were completed. The complainant signed a waiver for the incident.

Fraud: The pharmacy at the above listed location told PCPD that a prescription was fraudulently ordered via telephone.

the missing doorbell

West Washington Street

Theft: This complainant woke up to a strange discovery. During the night of Aug. 25, someone had snuck up to their home and removed a Ring doorbell from the front of the residence.

Grand theft: This complainant told officers that during the night of Aug. 26 someone snuck onto his property, cut a chain link fence and stole a 150 horsepower Yamaha boat motor.

Construction cuts

East Dr. MLK Boulevard

Vehicle/business burglary: An employee of the construction company that was working on the new MLK rec center reported that an unknown suspect cut the fence to the perimeter, broke into a trailer and stole approximately $5,000 worth of miscellaneous tools.

900 block of South Waller Street

Drug investigation: Officers stopped a vehicle for driving down the middle of the roadway. The driver was arrested and provided with a court date.

Pallet pirates

West Dr. MLK Boulevard

Commercial burglary: An employee of Diamond T. Farms reported the theft of more than 200 pallets from the rear of the business. The heist was valued at more than $2,000 worth of items.
