Under-pressure

Burglary: An unknown suspect broke into the fenced area of Direct Auto Sales and stole a Dewalt pressure washer, valued at $1,000. Instead of fleeing with the loot the suspect then noticed a CAT pressure washer, valued at $3,000, and decided to leave with that as well.

Et tu, truck?

Alexander St. and One Police Center

Injury: In a mysterious circumstance, a driver of a truck pulled off the roadway at the intersection of Alexander Street and One Police Center and exited his vehicle for reasons unknown. He was then run over by his own truck. 

 

June 16

Blazing under the stars

2602 E. Cherry St.

Possession: This juvenile decided he would take a stroll in a city park at 12:39 a.m. Unfortunately that stroll also included lugging along 13 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He qualified for the Juvenile Arrest Avoidance Program and was released back to his parents.

 

Ill will for Goodwill

2802 James L. Redman Pkwy. 

Shoplifting: Goodwill, known for its community-based programs that allow the non-profit to benefit the community it serves, was the target of some ill will on June 16. A woman entered the store, selected some items and then left without paying for the merchandise. She qualified for the Adult Pre-Arrest Diversion Program.

Patio heist

Theft: Everyone wants a stylish lawn for the summer. Some, however, don’t want to foot the bill, as this victim learned when she realized someone had taken all of her patio furniture during the night. 

 

June 20

Sticking it to the man

703 S. Evers St. 

While workers were caring for the lawn at Monuments Park, someone stole the City of Plant City 2004 White F250 and its attached white trailer. It contained a brand new Dixie Chopper riding lawn mower and many other pieces of lawn equipment. The vehicle has the standard city insignia along its side and its tag is 225547.
