POWERED DOWN

700 block of East Warren Street.
Residential fire/electricity theft: Officers responded to a location where Plant City Fire Rescue was putting out a residential fire and conducted an investigation about the possibility of the theft of electricity.

 

April 22

CAR OWNER’S WORST NIGHTMARE

1700 block of East Alabama Street.
Stolen vehicle/recovery: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) had stolen his 2011 Chevrolet Camaro overnight. Just before 9 a.m., the vehicle was found in Sumter County, five miles north of Polk County. The Camaro was on blocks and had been set on fire.

 

April 23

BACK TO SQUARE ONE

1020 block of Ashentree Drive.
Burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) broke a window of a newly-built home and stole all of the appliances inside over the weekend.

 

JUST A HUNCH

1400 block of Strawberry Place.
Theft: Complainant stated someone had stolen the tag from his vehicle on April 22, and that he believed his ex-wife committed the crime. Contact was made with the complainant’s ex, who admitted to removing the tag from his vehicle. Complainant signed a waiver of prosecution.

 

April 25

ONE BIG WINDOW

300 block of Waller Street.
Lost tag: Complainant stated his vehicle tag went missing sometime within the past eight months, and he didn’t know when it went missing or where he lost it. Complainant was issued a case number for the tag and the incident was documented.
