March 2

EASY PICKINGS

1110 block of North Merrin Street.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated an unknown suspect entered her unlocked Nissan Altima after 4:55 a.m., when she parked it in a yard and left it unlocked. Suspect stole her pink and white wallet, which contained her Florida driver’s license, debit card and $35 in cash. Three other vehicles parked in the yard were also left unlocked and burglarized overnight, as they were found with their driver’s side doors ajar. A wedding ring was the only thing stolen between the other vehicles, which were not damaged.

 

March 5

POWER DOWN

South Collins Street/East Alsobrook Street.
Hit and run — TECO pole damage: Officers determined a semi truck hit a concrete power pole in the area, causing it to break to the point where only the interior rebar held it up. The semi truck was unable to be located.

 

March 7

CRAFTY CROOK

Multiple locations.
Burglary: Complainants stated unknown suspect(s) used some kind of object to enter apartment complexes’ mail slot drop box over the weekend and steal multiple checks and money orders intended to make rent payments. The apartment complexes that were burglarized were located at the 300 block of Park Spring Circle and the 1400 block of Strawberry Place.

SNEAKERHEAD

1510 block of Plantation Grove.
Theft: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole a UPS package containing sneakers valued at $230.

 

March 8

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, BREAK IN

700 block of North Mobley Street.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated an unknown suspect entered their Ford Focus overnight and stole a battery charger and a floor jack. The vehicle was locked at the time and the complainant did not know how the suspect was able to enter it.
