AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL

2300 block of Tanbark Ridge Place. Fraudulent Use of Personal Information. The victim said an unknown person has been using her name and PayPal account to withdraw money from her bank account. The transactions have taken place in Miami.

NOT THE BRIGHTEST BULB …

2500 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Counterfeit Currency. The suspect tried to pass two counterfeit $5 bills for merchandise. The two bills had the same serial number. The suspect left the store after being questioned about the bills.

SUGAR HIGH?

Intersection of East Calhoun Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue. Battery/Domestic Violence. The suspect arrested for domestic battery. The suspect was trick-or-treating with the victim when he became upset with her and punched her in the face, causing a black eye and bruising to her cheek. The suspect and the victim have been together as a couple for eight years and have a child in common.

NOV. 1

SNEAKY SUSPECT

4500 block of S.R. 574. Vehicle Burglary. According to the victim, an unknown person(s) stole a small tool box and a Sony CD player from inside his 1997 Pontiac Grand Am. The doors were secured, but the vehicles window was found to have been pushed off-track this morning. The total value of the theft is about $400.

BAD DAY

Intersection of North Park and South Frontage roads. Traffic Crash with Injury. The victim was attempting to cross North Park Road from the east shoulder when he was struck by a vehicle. He sustained a serious head injury and was transported to Lakeland Regional Hospital.

ALL ABOUT THE JACKSONS

1300 block of East Calhoun Street. Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) stole $20 from petty cash.

COULDN’T WAIT FOR BLACK FRIDAY

2000 block of South Frontage Road. Grand Theft. Unknown suspect(s) stole four 37-inch LG TVs, valued at $350.

THE APPLE DOESN’T FALL FAR …

Intersection of Maryland Avenue and East Louisiana Street. Drug Investigation/Arrest. The suspect arrested for possession of 17 grams of marijuana and assault on a law-enforcement officer. The suspect’s mother was arrested for obstructing an officer. She refused to vacate the area so officers could conclude their investigation. Both arrestees were transported to jail.

CRACK IS WHACK

Intersection of West Washington and South Empire streets. Drug Investigation/Arrest. Officers approached the area on foot and observed the suspect drop a white bottle on the ground and walk to a nearby stump. Officers observed several individual bags containing a white rock-like substance that resembled crack cocaine inside the bottle. They took possession of the bottle, field tested the substance to confirm its identity and arrested the suspect for possession of the crack when he returned to the location.

MAYBE SHE’S BORN WITH IT

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. The suspect was detained for the theft of cosmetic items, valued at $12.91. Loss-prevention officials signed a waiver of prosecution.

HE PICKED THE WRONG GUY

1000 block of South Alexander Street. Robbery Attempt/Aggravated Battery. Officers responded to the hospital regarding a victim who had arrived with a laceration to his arm. The suspect said an unknown white male had approached and requested assistance with finding his car keys. The suspect then put a knife to the victim’s throat and demanded his wallet and cash. The victim stated he broke away from the hold and punched the suspect in the lower jaw on the right side of the face, at which time the suspect fell, cutting the victim’s arm on the way down. The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction without any property. The suspect was described as a white male, 6 feet tall, medium build, clean-shaven, dark medium-length hair. He was wearing a white button-up shirt, black dress pants and had both ears pierced. The crime scene was located and blood was found, but no additional evidence was in the area.

MISSING WHEELS

800 block of East Alabama Street. Bicycle Theft. Unknown suspect(s) stole a tan Drift Beach Cruiser bicycle, valued at $25, from the front yard.

NOV. 3

WELL, THAT’S JUST WEIRD

Intersection of Waller and West Warren streets. Abandoned Vehicle. Officers were patrolling the area when they observed a vehicle driving erratically. Officers issued an alert but did not attempt a stop. Moments later, the vehicle was seen idling in a ditch with no occupants inside. The vehicle had no damage but was blocking the roadway. The owner was not able to be contacted. The vehicle was entered into NCIC/FCIC as abandoned and towed.

SHOTS FIRED

2600 block of Thonotosassa Road. Information. Officers responded to the report of a vehicle shooting guns in the fast-food restaurant’s parking lot. Upon arrival, witnesses stated they heard gunshots and then observed a tan Tahoe/Yukon race away, followed by a tow truck. No one observed the offense.
