HIS VEHICLE, HER WALLET

3200 block of Delaware Avenue.

Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) entered his 2004 Chevrolet Suburban SUV between 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, and stole a woman’s wallet, which contained $300 cash. The SUV had been left unlocked.

HALFWAY THERE

200 block of West Alexander Street.

Petit theft: Officers met with complainant, who stated she had left her purse in a grocery store bathroom and, upon returning to the store, found that it was gone. The purse was found in the store parking lot, but her wallet was missing from it.

GOT TO BE QUICKER THAN THAT

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway.

Retail theft: Officers responded to a retail store regarding two suspects who had attempted to steal merchandise. One suspect, a female, was in custody, and the other, a male, had fled on foot. The male suspect was caught, and both were taken to jail.

YETI YANKER

200 block of West Alexander Street.

Grand theft: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) stole a 65-quart Yeti cooler, valued at $400, from the open bed of her truck between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. that day.

Nov. 7

SITTING DUCK

800 block of West Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) burglarized a Ford truck parked at a towing company’s impound lot and stole two power tools. The vehicle had been listed as abandoned. The registered owner was contacted.

PHONE PROBLEMS

2000 block of South Frontage Road.

Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole his cell phone while he ate at a fast food restaurant around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6.

IF AT FIRST YOU DON’T SUCCEED, TRY AGAIN

Mobley Street/West Reynolds Street.

Possession of cocaine/marijuana, no valid driver’s license: Officer conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a citation for not having a valid driver’s license. After leaving the scene, the officer witnessed the subject driving again, pulled him over and found cocaine and marijuana. The subject was arrested.

DEJEWELED

3600 block of Trapnell Grove Loop.

Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, and stole $20, a credit card and some jewelry. Another complainant stated an unlocked vehicle down the street had been entered between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, but that nothing had been stolen.

Vehicle burglary: Officer met with complainant, who stated a vehicle was broken into between 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, and 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, and that a Dell laptop, a .40 caliber Taurus handgun and other items had been stolen.
