An officer responded to reports of shots fired near the Garden of Peace Cemetery. During the neighborhood survey, no damage was reported or observed.

An officer observed a subject driving from a business despite having an active warrant and an invalid license. A traffic stop was conducted, and the subject was detained. An NCIC/FCIC check confirmed an active HCSO warrant. The subject was arrested for the warrant and Driving While License suspended and transported to Orient Road Jail.

An officer observed a vehicle previously reported to be driven by a subject who had an active child-support warrant and only a Florida ID card. The officer conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the warrant and the suspended license. The subject was arrested for the warrant and DWLS with knowledge (13 prior convictions). A UTC for DWLS was issued, and he was transported to Orient Road Jail.

An officer responded to the area of S Park Rd/E Baker St in reference to a reckless driver. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and met with the driver, who was arrested for DUI.

An officer responded to the location in reference to a suspicious person on the property. Upon arrival, he observed the described individual across the street, by Hardee’s. Contact was made with the subject, who was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Two For One – Warrant Arrest/NVDL
Wheeler St/Drane St
An officer was conducting traffic enforcement and observed a vehicle with the registered owner not having a valid driver’s license. A traffic stop was conducted, and contact was made with the subject. An NCIC/FCIC check advised of an active Manatee County SO warrant. The subject was arrested for the warrant and for NVDL and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Wallflowers – Drug Arrest
W. Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd/S Alexander St.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with only one headlight. The officer met with the driver, and after an investigation, the driver was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Crash And Dash – DUI
1000 block of Ashentree Dr
Officers responded to the area in reference to a hit-and-run that occurred. An officer made contact with the subject who was arrested for DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.
November 9
Get Gone – Trespassing after/RAWOV Arrest
2400 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer made contact with a subject at the location. The subject had previously been trespassed from the business and was advised that he would be placed under arrest. While attempting to handcuff the subject, he resisted and was subsequently redirected to the ground, secured, and later transported to Orient Road Jail. The subject was charged with trespassing after warning and resisting arrest without violence.

An officer responded to the location in reference to a suspicious person loitering behind the business. Upon arrival, he observed a subject sitting on the picnic tables located on the north side of the business. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
No License to Drive – CCI
Hunter St/W Prosser St
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for unlawful speed. The officer met with the driver and requested her driver’s license. She stated that she did not have a license. An FCIC/NCIC check revealed she never had one issued. She was issued a criminal citation for NVDL.

Let’s Go For Five – Theft/Possession/RAWOV/Tampering with Evidence/Introduction of Contraband
1700 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer contacted a subject after seeing him pushing a shopping cart off property without permission. The subject was secured and arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Shopping Cart, Tampering with Evidence, and Resisting Without Violence. At Orient Road Jail, he was additionally charged with Introduction of a Controlled Substance into a Detention Facility.

Why Driving? – Traffic Crash w/DWLSR
Thonotosassa Rd/Goldfinch Dr
Officers responded to a crash with injuries. Upon investigation, it was determined that the at-fault driver had a revoked license and six previous suspensions, along with four DUIs. He was later arrested.
November 13
Bad Sense of Direction – Fleeing to Elude
An officer was conducting radar speed measurement on S. Park Rd. North of Gordon Food Service Dr., when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver refused to stop and continued all the way down Gordon Food Service Dr. past the guard shack and into the parking lot, where the driver exited the vehicle. The subject was charged with Felony Fleeing to Elude and Possession of a Handgun During Commission of a Felony.
