RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME

2900 block of James L. Redman Parkway

Warrant: While working a traffic crash in the Lowe’s parking lot, an officer grew suspicious of a vehicle and its occupants. The officer alerted some other officers and they stopped the vehicle in the Sonic parking lot. They learned a passenger of the suspicious vehicle had an active warrant out of Hillsborough County for petit theft. She was also in possession of methamphetamine. The passenger was arrested and taken to Orient Road Jail.

1400 block of South Collins Street

Theft: An officer responded to a report of stolen cat litter.

SLEEPING IT OFF

2100 block of West Baker Street

Warrant: Officers responded to a report of two women “passed out” in a white Toyota parked at a Walgreens parking lot. One of the occupants had an active warrant out of Polk County for violation of probation/DUI. She was arrested and taken to Orient Road Jail.

Fraud: This complainant stated an unknown suspect withdrew more than $14,000 from her Chime app over the prior few months.

TRAILER TROUBLE

1600 block of West Baker Street

Fraud (attempted): The park manager of Floral Village Mobile Home Park was notified of a fraudulent advertisement for a trailer for sale.

UNHAPPY HONDA DAYS

4610 block of Crimson Court

Fraud: This complainant stated she attempted to buy a Honda Accord online and the seller requested payment via Google Play gift cards. She sent $1,800 and then realized it was a scam.

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE

2800 block of James L. Redman Parkway

Vehicle burglary: This complainant stated someone entered her vehicle and stole her purse while she was returning a shopping cart after shopping.
