An officer conducted a traffic stop with the driver not wearing a seatbelt. It was learned that the driver did not possess a valid driver’s license and had three prior DWLSR convictions. The tag on the vehicle was not assigned to the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged with Felony DWLSR and Attaching Tag Not Assigned. He was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Discount Theft – Retail Theft
1400 block of S Collins St
An officer responded to the location and made contact with loss prevention, who advised that on June 3, more than $500 worth of merchandise was stolen.
June 7
Hut, Hut, Hut! – Drug Investigation
1500 block of N Wheeler St
Officers responded to the location due to a suspicious vehicle. While on scene, contact was made with the driver and passenger. Both subjects were arrested for possession. The passenger was also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
They Never Learn – Felony SWLSR
S Collins St/E Strickland St
An officer conducted a traffic stop and learned the driver was operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license. The driver was arrested for felony DWLSR and transported to Orient Road Jail.
You Can’t Park There – NVDL
E Alexander St/Jim Johnson Rd
An officer responded to a disabled vehicle on the railroad tracks. Contact was made with the driver, who was determined to be NVDL (No Valid Driver’s License) and was placed under arrest. She was transported to Orient Road Jail, and her vehicle was towed from the tracks.
June 8
Clearing Out A Spot – Disorderly Conduct
2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy
An officer responded to a disturbance at the above location. The manager was attempting to get a male to leave the property that had caused a large disturbance within the store and then kicked items over on his way out, creating a danger to those in the area. An officer located the subject in front of another location, displaying similar behavior. Yet another business also confirmed that the subject had just come into their store and acted similarly, and made employees and customers feel unsafe. The subject was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported to Orient Road Jail.
June 9
Lock’em Up – Vehicle Burglary
2200 block of Village Park Rd
An officer responded to the location in reference to the report of a delayed vehicle burglary. The victim stated she got home the day prior at about 3:00 p.m. and believes she left her vehicle unlocked by accident. Today, the victim noticed her wallet, containing miscellaneous bank and ID cards, was missing from within.
Some Diamond Doris Stuff – Theft
1200 block of Goldfinch Dr
An officer responded to the location in reference to the report of a delayed theft. The victim reported that she noticed a gold ring she purchased from the World Trade Center, valued at approximately $2,800, was missing from her safe located within her home.
June 10
Just Going in Circles – Warrant Other Agency
700 block of Pennsylvania Ave
An officer observed a subject lying inside the merry-go-round on the children’s playground. The subject claimed to be 17 years of age but clearly did not look it. Eventually, the subject identified himself, and a computer check revealed an outstanding HCSO warrant for FTA fraudulent use of personal information x4, with a $400 bond, and FTA petit theft, with a $1,000 bond. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.

We Done Told You – Trespass After Warning
500 block of N Alexander St
An officer made contact with a subject who he believed to be trespassed from the location. It was confirmed that he was trespassed on March 16. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Having a Cookout – Theft
600 block of N Maryland Ave
An officer responded to the location and made contact with the complainant who advised on two separate days, meat was stolen from the business for a total loss of $778.
Clean Getaway – Shoplifting
2100 block of W Baker St
An officer met with the store manager who reported several containers of laundry detergent had been stolen.

High Speed Chase – Stolen Vehicle
N Franklin St/Avenue E
Officers responded to the location and met with the complainant, who stated his golf cart had been stolen. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
