May 22

Crash and Dash – Criminal Mischief 

3600 block of Natural Trace St

Officers met with the complainant, who stated she observed damage to the driver’s side doors and hood of her vehicle. She stated her vehicle was parked on the roadway from the night of May 18 until the morning of May 20. The damage was valued at approximately $500. 

5 Finger Discount With Violence 

– Battery

200 block of W Alexander St

An officer responded to the location in reference to a disturbance that had just occurred. Upon arrival, he met with a store employee who stated two subjects entered with empty bags from the store. The employee observed the two place items in the bags. The employee made her way to the front door to confront the subjects before they could leave the business. The employee asked if they were ready to check out, and they advised that the items were already purchased. When told they were seen putting the items in the bags, the subject physically pushed the employee, and a brief struggle ensued before the subjects were able to get by and leave the store. 

Carpe Tag – Seize Tag/CCI

S Wheeler St and W Drane St

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after confirming the vehicle’s registration was expired and the attached Florida tag had an active seize tag order. Contact was made with the driver. She was issued citations for driving while license suspended/revoked and expired registration. The tag was removed from the vehicle and will be returned to DHSMV.

I Yieled At Them – Habitual Traffic Offender

N Gordon St/Robin Dr

An officer responded to a traffic crash at an intersection. Investigation determined the driver failed to yield while entering the intersection, causing the crash. During the crash investigation, the driver was found to be driving while his license was revoked as a Habitual Traffic Offender. He was issued citations for failure to yield and operating a motor vehicle while HTO, and an eCRA was completed for HTO. He was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.

Play for Ultra – Shoplifting

2200 block f N Park Rd

An officer responded to the location in reference to a retail theft. Contact was made with an employee who advised three subjects attempted to purchase alcohol after prohibited sales hours and were denied. A short time later, one suspect entered the beer cooler and stole a 24-pack of Michelob Ultra valued at $28.98.

May 23

No License to Drive – DWLSR Arrest

Laurel Ct and Sandalwood Dr

An officer conducted a stop for a traffic violation and met with the driver, who was found to have a suspended license and was taken into custody. The driver was issued applicable citations and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Vehicle Graffiti – Criminal Mischief

600 block of N Merrin St

An officer met with the victim, who advised that sometime between the day prior at 7:00 p.m. and that day at 2:30 p.m., an unknown subject spray-painted his truck. The damage was estimated to be approximately $520. A neighborhood survey was conducted, and no video was located. 

History Repeats Itself – Habitual Traffic Offender/Resist W/O Violence

N Alexander St/Nosleda St

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 55 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. The driver was arrested for DWLSR HTO and resisting without violence, issued citations for speeding and DWLS HTO, and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

PCPD Wins Hide & Seek – Warrant Arrest

800 block of W Hamlin St

Officers responded to the residence in reference to locating a subject with an active Hillsborough County warrant. Contact was made with the subject; the warrant was confirmed for violation of probation related to reckless driving with no bond. The subject was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

May 24

Oops – Warrant Arrest

800 block of McLendon St

Officers responded to the location in reference to a theft report. Contact was made with the complainant, who reported medication missing from a recently refilled prescription bottle and advised he needed a case number to have the medication refilled. During the investigation, a records check revealed that the complainant had an active Pasco County warrant for failure to appear related to driving while license suspended. The warrant was confirmed, and the complainant was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

May 28

How Many Lumens? – CCI

S Alexander St/Mud Lake Rd

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights after dark. The driver was using a flashlight to illuminate the roadway in front of him. The driver was issued a criminal citation for an unregistered vehicle.
