MAY 6

SAME PRESCRIPTION?

800 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Vehicle Burglary. Sometime on May 3, unknown person(s) entered an unlocked Chevy car and stole a $200 pair of prescription sunglasses.

THAT’S JUST MEAN

1100 block of West Risk Street. Residential Burglary. Sometime overnight on May 5, an unknown person(s) broke a window to the apartment, went inside and stole a television and PlayStation. The suspect(s) also clogged the water drains and flooded the apartment.

KEY CRIMINAL

2200 block of Village Park Road. Criminal Mischief. The victim stated that unknown person(s) keyed the hood of both of his cars, a 2007 Ford Edge and a 2006 Toyota Corolla. Damage estimated at $100 total for both vehicles.

MAY 7

JUVENILE BEHAVIOR

1900 block of Wood Court. Stolen Vehicle/Recovery/Arrest. Overnight, a white Ford F450 flat-bed truck was stolen from the business. A police sergeant located the truck and notified on-duty patrol officers and detectives. The truck was stopped on Interstate 4 near Park Road. A white male juvenile was arrested. The juvenile also had several outstanding Hillsborough County pick-up orders. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center. The truck was returned to the owner.

JUVENILE BEHAVIOR, PART TWO

2000 block of Wood Court. Vehicle Burglary Arrest. Overnight, the windows on a Ford truck and van were broken, and property was stolen from the vehicles.  The white male juvenile arrested in the above case confessed post-Miranda to committing this crime, as well. Some items taken from the vehicles in this case were found in the above stolen/recovered truck.

IN DEEP TROUBLE

3130 block of Bending Oaks Drive. Drug Arrest. An officer responded to a suspicious person call at the community pool. Upon arrival, a white female quickly exited a vehicle and immediately locked the doors. The officer could smell the odor of burning marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and 4.8 grams of marijuana and two Xanax pills were located inside a Crown Royal bag in the center console.   The suspect was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.

STICKER SHOCK

1420 block of Plantation Circle. Stolen Vehicle. Unknown person(s) stole a blue, four-door 2006 Saturn Ion, with yellow clamshell sticker on rear window, sticker on rear bumper that says, “PURA UTZ,” and colored butterfly decals on passenger’s door window.

TWO-WHEEL TROUBLE

1210 block of Nosleda Street. Bicycle Theft. Unknown person(s) stole a purple/white Raleigh M20, 21-speed mountain bike from the location.

RENOVATION REALITY

1410 block of East Alsobrook Street. Residential Burglary/Grand Theft. The residence is being remodeled.  Unknown person(s) broke out two windows and damaged the back door during the night and went inside and stole construction tools and building materials.

STOLEN SCOOTER

3000 block of Sutton Woods. Stolen Motorcycle. Unknown person(s) stole a yellow/black 2009 Yamaha 125cc scooter from the residence. It is valued at about $4,000.

MAY 9

BAD HAIR DAY

2200 block of North Johnson Street. Theft from Motor Vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) broke the lock off a metal toolbox in the bed of the victim’s truck and stole a purple hair dryer and red skill saw, valued at about $30.

CAUGHT WITH THE WRONG PANTS

2100 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. The suspect was arrested for theft of a pair of pants, valued at $26. She was arrested and released from the scene with a court date.

FORE!

2300 block of North Johnson Street. Theft from Motor Vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) stole a set of King Cobra golf clubs with a Callaway driver in a blue golf bag (value $500.00) from the inside of a toolbox in the bed of a 2012 Dodge truck.

HOT MUSIC

1400 block Plantation Circle. Vehicle Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) stole a silver iPod from an unlocked tan 2002 Mazda.

SMART SMARTPHONE

1 block of Raider Place. Vehicle Burglary. The victim’s cell phone was taken from her car while at the school. The phone was pinged by the carrier and located at in the 2600 block of Wiggins Acres Lane. The person in possession of the stolen phone returned it to the victim. The victim did not want to prosecute.

SMELLS LIKE TROUBLE

Intersection of East Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Palmer Street. Drug Arrest. An officer conducted a traffic stop and smelled the odor of marijuana from the inside of the vehicle. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle and .5 grams of marijuana were discovered.

MAY 10

CAUGHT IN THE ACT

1320 block of East Church Street. Residential Burglary. Officers responded to this home in reference to a call of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers saw a black male exiting a back shattered window to the home. Property was left by the suspect as he fled the scene on foot. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was caught and arrested. Williams was later transported to the Orient Road Jail.

WHAT DID THAT FENCE EVER DO TO YOU?

1400 block of Mercantile Court. Grand Theft Auto. Overnight, an unknown person(s) stole a black Ford F550 tow truck and used it to ram the fence of the business.  The theft is valued at about $95,000 in truck and equipment. Later in the day, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen tow truck.

PET PROBLEMS

4210 block of Amberjack Boulevard. Grand Theft. Overnight, unknown person(s) stolen an unknown make or model white 53-foot trailer containing 54 cartons of plastic dog kennels. The total theft is estimated at $35,000.

STOP! THIEF!

2510 block of Thonotosassa Road. Retail Theft. Officers responded to the store in reference to a white female suspect walking out the store with merchandise.

MAY 12

ALL JACKED UP

4600 block of Country Hills Court. Theft. Overnight, unknown person(s) removed the rear driver’s side tire from a gray Nissan car and left the car on the jack. The tire is valued at about $200. The jack was seized as evidence.

THIS IS NUTS

2200 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Vehicle Burglary. A Michael Kors purse with misc contents, a plastic frame with a photo, a vase with salted peanuts and body spray and lotion were taken by unknown suspect(s) from an unlocked truck. The items are valued at $115.

FUNNY MONEY

1510 block of South Alexander Street. Counterfeit Bill. An unknown black female wearing a McDonald’s uniform shirt attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit $10 bill.  The bill was confiscated by the store, and the female left without any incident prior to police arrival.
