Officers responded to the location and met with the Bureau of Insurance Fraud, who provided a hard copy warrant for a subject. Contact was made, and the subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Finders Keepers – Theft of Cash
2800 block of Thonotosassa Rd
Officers responded to the location and met with the victim, who stated she left her wallet in a restroom stall prior to leaving the location. Upon noticing her wallet was not with her, she returned to the store, and her wallet was located within a trash can, missing $80 in cash.

Bye, Bye, Bye – Trespassing after Arrest
4600 block of 574
An officer responded to the location and observed a subject on the property. The subject was known to the officer due to previous contact, and the subject was previously trespassed from the location on April 25. The subject was detained and arrested for violation of trespassing after warning.
Twofer – Drug Investigation
Pearl St & Drane St NW
Officers were conducting proactive patrol in the area and began checking the known homeless camp just south of the railroad tracks. Upon conducting a check of the wooded area, two subjects were located. Both were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and transported to Orient Road Jail.
Say What, Now? – Agg. Assault w/Machete
1700 block of W Charlotte St
An officer responded to the location regarding a disturbance. The victim reported that he drove his golf cart to the neighbors to ask the subject to turn down loud music. The subject became agitated, retrieved a machete, and stuck the golf cart three times while the victim was seated inside. In fear for his life, the victim reversed his golf cart and called police. The subject admitted to striking the golf cart and was charged with Aggravated Assault.

An officer made contact with two subjects at the above location. Both subjects have active trespass warning at that location. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
April 27
John Gruden? – Delayed Theft
200 block of Maki Rd
Officers responded and met with the victim, who stated two days ago, a Chucky doll, along with the matching bride of Chucky doll, valued at $80 each, were stolen from her carport.
It’s Electric – Delayed Theft
1500 block of N Orange St
Officers responded to the residence and met with the subject, who stated his electric bicycle, valued at $900, was stolen.
Scan Scam – Shoplifting – APAD
2600 block of James L Redman Pkwy
Officers responded to the location and met with loss prevention and the subject. It was determined that the subject had purposely omitted scanning $120 worth of food and miscellaneous items while using the self-checkout registers. The subject qualified for APAD program, which was completed, and the subject was later released without incident.

An officer met with the victim, who reported that an unknown male squirted lotion on her person while walking through the cosmetics section.
Brain on Drugs – Drug Investigation

An officer conducted a traffic stop reference a red-light violation. The driver was placed under arrest for possession of narcotics and transported to Orient Road Jail.

No License to Drive – Warrant Arrest
James L Redman Pkwy & E Park Rd
An officer conducted a traffic stop for expired tags. The driver was advised of probable cause, and a query revealed him to have a suspended driver’s license along with an outstanding arrest warrant out of Pasco County for FTA DUI. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.
Toilets to Go – Theft
3600 block of Forest Path Dr
Officers responded to the area in reference to the report of a delayed theft from the construction site. Officers met with the complainant, an employee of the construction site, who wished to report missing bathroom supplies from garages that were open with no doors attached, and unable to be secured due to being a new building. Approximately $4,000 of building material was stolen from six homes within the same block.
