Supplement W/Arrest

1900 block of Wood Ct

Officers were following up with attempting to locate a subject in reference to having a probable cause pick up for fleeing to elude. Officers were able to locate and secure the subject at which time he was placed under arrest for fleeing to elude and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Pane in the Glass – Criminal Mischief

1500 block of W Alexander St

An officer responded to the above location in reference to a damaged window. The victim found that someone had broken the glass on an exterior door, however, no signs of entry were present. 

Knock, Knock – Theft

1800 block of Tropical Oasis Ave

Officers responded to a new home construction site in reference to a delayed theft. The complainant reported that someone entered the open garage and took two sets of doors valued at approximately $2,200. 

Brewskis for One – Felony Petit Theft

2700 block of Thonotosassa Rd

An officer responded to the location in reference to a theft that just occurred. Officers met with the complainant, who stated a subject selected a 16-ounce can of Budweiser beer valued at $2.97 and exited the store without rendering payment. An officer was able to apprehend the subject at which time he was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Clean Getaway – Theft

2400 block of James l Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the above-listed business in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer met with the store manager, who advised seven personal hygiene items, valued at $49.50, were stolen. 

April 19

Found it! – Recovered Stolen Vehicle

1200 block of E Warren St

Officers responded to the area in reference to a reported stolen vehicle out of HCSO, having been located. Officers found the vehicle unoccupied and parked in an empty parking lot. Attempts were made to contact the vehicle’s owner, but after no answer, the vehicle was towed. 

You Can Run – Supplement (PC Pickup Arrest)

800 block of E Tomlin St

While patrolling the area in search of a wanted fugitive, the subject was located sitting inside a vehicle. Officers were able to make contact with the subject, at which time she was placed under arrest for an active probable cause pickup reference four counts of battery and four counts of false imprisonment. The subject was transported to Orient Road Jail.

Why Do You Drink? – DUI

700 block of W Reynolds St

Officers responded to the above location after a witness reported observing a vehicle being driven recklessly pull into the driveway. Contact was made with the subject, who was arrested for DUI after an investigation and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

April 20

You Don’t Have to Go Home – Trespass After Warning

1700 block of James L Redman Pkwy

Officers responded to the above location after management observed a subject who was previously trespassed on March 16, 2025. The subject cooperated with officers and, based on the totality of the investigation, was ROR without incident. 

April 21

Pop a Squat – Drug Investigation

2100 block of Jim Johnson Rd

Officers traveled in the wooded area to a reported unhoused camp. After walking approximately 495 feet into the woods, officers located an unauthorized one-room wooden structure on private property. Contact was made with the subject who was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

April 22

Nighty, Night – Drug Investigation 

2200 block of N Park Rd

An officer made contact with a subject who was asleep in the rear driver’s side seat. The subject was placed under arrest for two counts of possession of a controlled substance and transported to Orient Road Jail. 

Oh Behave! – Warrant Other Agency

An officer made contact with a subject during a traffic stop investigation for speeding. The subject identified himself, and an NCIC/FCIC check revealed an active warrant issued on April 17 by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office for FTA, possession of Methamphetamine, bond $10,000, possession of drug paraphernalia, bond $2,000, and attempted bribery of LEO, bond $20,000. The warrant was valid/verified by PCSO, and the subject was taken into custody and transported to Orient Road Jail.
