Cops Corner 04.15.16

The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports gathered from the Plant City Police Department.

April 1

QUICK AND EASY

3900 block of Trapnell Ridge Drive. Vehicle burglary. Complainant stated that, overnight, unknown suspect(s) broke into their white 2001 Honda Civic and stole a file folder containing personal paperwork. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

DRILL, BABY, DRILL

3500 block of Trapnell Grove Loop. Vehicle burglary. Officers met with complainant, who stated that, overnight, unknown suspect(s) broke into a red 2004 Toyota and stole a drill and credit cards.

GARAGE GOON

3420 block of San Moise Place. Residential burglary. Officer met with complainant, who stated that unknown suspect(s) entered her vehicle and stole a garage door opener and a phone charger, and also that her son’s bicycle was stolen from her garage.

April 2

JUST THE ESSENTIALS

300 block of West English Street. Residential burglary. Officers responded to a residence in reference to a reported burglary in progress. They determined that unknown suspect(s) stole a Mossberg shotgun, PlayStation 4 gaming console and an unknown amount of marijuana from the home.

April 3

MAILBOX MAULER

1010 block of North Wills Street. Criminal mischief. Officer responded to a residence in reference to a report of criminal mischief. Complainant stated that unknown suspect(s) caused $100 in damage to his mailbox.

HARDCORE GAMERS

1000 block of Center Street. Theft. Officer met with complainant, who stated that several video games and a controller were missing from her residence. Complainant noticed that the items were missing after her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend left the home. A waiver of prosecution was signed.

April 5

NAP TIME

1900 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Possession of cocaine/marijuana. Officer responded to a gas station in reference to a report of a suspicious person. Suspect was found asleep behind the wheel of a car at a pump, and the man was found to be in possession of drugs. He was arrested.

April 6

WHY WE NEED PARKS

Lake Drive/Walter Drive. Criminal mischief. Officer made contact with complainant, who stated that a juvenile broke her window. Complainant stated that children were playing with rocks next to the roadway, throwing them around and eventually doing $200 in damage to her car’s front windshield. The juvenile was contacted, and complainant refused to press charges. A waiver of prosecution was signed.

April 7

MUTED

2720 block of Wilder Reserve Drive. Vehicle burglary. Officer responded to a residence in reference to a reported vehicle burglary. Complainant stated that unknown suspect(s) stole $1,200 in stereo equipment from his truck.

BARBER SHOP BANDIT

1800 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Petit theft. Officer responded to a barber shop in reference to a reported theft. Complainant stated that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his Central Pneumatic 125 psi air compressor, valued at $200.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT

200 block of East Reynolds Street. Stolen vehicle. Officers responded to an area in reference to a reported vehicle theft attempt. Three juveniles were caught trying to steal a red Lincoln MKS sedan, and all three were arrested.

CHUMP CHANGE

610 block of North Maryland Avenue. Theft. Officers responded to a business in reference to a reported theft. Complainant stated that two suspects had been damaging newspaper machines and stealing change from them. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspects, one of whom was a juvenile.
