Officers responded to the location in reference to a vehicle burglary. Contact was made with the victim, who advised her purse, wallet, and key ring were taken from her vehicle while it was parked at Mike E. Sansone Community Park the previous evening.
Midnight Snack – Shoplifting
1100 block of S Park Rd
Officers responded to the location in reference to a theft. Contact was made with the manager, who advised that a known subject stole multiple food and drink items the previous night. Contact was made with the subject, who was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
How Convenient – Firearm and
Warrant Arrest
2300 block of Thonotosassa Rd
An officer responded to a business in reference to a disturbance involving a firearm. Contact was made with the victim, who advised that a subject displayed a firearm during a verbal altercation and then intentionally drove his vehicle forward into him, striking his bicycle and pushing it into his legs, causing injury. The subject was found to have an active Hillsborough County warrant for criminal mischief. The warrant was confirmed, and the subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.

An officer made contact with a subject during a warrant arrest. Synthetic cannabis was located. The subject was additionally charged and transported to Orient Road Jail.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving without headlights and multiple unsafe lane changes. The driver was transported to Orient Road Jail for the charges of DUI and resisting arrest with violence.
Inebriated Navigation – DUI
300 block of N Alexander St
An officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, who showed signs of impairment. The driver was charged with DUI and taken to Orient Road Jail.

Brewskis for my Bros – Petit Theft
1100 block of S Park Rd
An officer responded to the business in reference to a delayed beer theft and met with an employee who advised that on April 5, she had been alerted to a possible theft while she was off. Upon coming to work, she was able to confirm that a case of Budweiser beer valued at $18.49 was stolen.

Where Did You Hide It? – Petit Theft
1100 Block of S Park Rd
Officer responded to the location in reference to a reported retail theft. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store manager, who reported that two individuals concealed multiple items and only paid for fuel and a fountain drink.
April 8
Why Isn’t He Locked Up? – Fugitive
Warrant Arrest
200 block of Waller St
Officers and CID assisted the U.S. Marshals with a fugitive warrant arrest at a residence. The suspect had an active Polk County warrant for homicide and was reported to be staying at the location. Officers approached after observing the subject on the front porch, and he was taken into custody without incident. The subject was transported to the police department for questioning and later transported to Orient Road Jail.

An officer responded to the location and learned that a subject concealed $204 worth of perfumes in a backpack and fled the scene without paying for the items.

1800 block of E Warren St
An officer responded to the location after a vehicle left the roadway and crashed into vehicles in front of the residence. Contact was made with the driver, who showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest.
