MARCH 14

THAT’S COLD

300 block of South Frontage Road. Grand Theft. Unknown suspect(s) stole a stainless-steel ice machine, valued at $3,000.

RUDE BEHAVIOR

4400 block of Country Hills Boulevard. Obstruction. The officer was investigating a parking violation, when she knocked on the door of the residence. The suspect came to the door then attempted to slam the door to the home on the officer. Once all occupants were identified and removed from the home, the suspect continued to hinder the investigation and was subsequently arrested.

MISSING WHEELS

400 block of North Alexander Street. Stolen Bike. The officer responded and met with the victim, who stated he entered the business to make a purchase. When he exited about 10 minutes later he discovered his Mongoose bike had been stolen. The bike is valued at $75.

EMU-SING RACE

Unknown block of North Shannon Avenue. Loose Emus. Plant City police received called in reference to three loose emus on North Shannon Avenue. The officer responded and located the owner on Vinning Street. The owner responded responded to the area to catch the animals. One emu was still at large at the time of the report.MARCH 15

TRAILER TROUBLE

1800 block of Turkey Creek Road. Grand Theft. The victim stated unknown suspect(s) stole his black, open-top, single-axle utility trailer, Florida tag No. 3345PB.

QUICK CASH

1800 block of North Franklin Street. Vehicle Burglary. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and stole $184 in cash.

SMASH AND GRAB

1700 block of North Park Road. Vehicle Burglary. The victim stated unknown suspect(s) broke out the passenger-side window of her car and took her purse. Her purse was brown, with an owl on it.

THE JOKE’S ON THEM

900 block of North Clark Street. Residential Burglary. The victim stated she was working in her garden. During this time, she left her porch and front door unlocked. The victim said, when she went inside, she found about $200. worth of costume jewelry missing.

ONE WILD NIGHT

4340 block of Country Hills Boulevard. Criminal Mischief. The victim stated that when she was having a party, someone outside threw a beer bottle through her bedroom window.

MAYBE HE IS JUST A GOOD TEST-TAKER?

Intersection of North Park Road and East Baker Street. Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Child Neglect. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the suspect. The suspect was asked to perform field-sobriety tests, because he had bloodshot eyes, and the officer detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and visible open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. A gun also was found in the vehicle. The suspect performed satisfactory but was issued three citations. The suspect, a convicted felon, was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and child neglect.

SYSTEM SHOCK

1300 block of North Maryland Avenue. Vehicle Burglary. The victim reported unknown suspect(s) stole his Alpine-type 10-inch subwoofer and amplifier, valued at about $350, from his unlocked 1994 GMC Sierra truck.

SCARY SITUATION

Intersection of Victoria Street and Plant Avenue. Armed Robbery. The victim reported that the suspect, a black male, robbed him of his money and medication.

ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH IT

2600 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft; Resisting a Merchant. The suspect stole an iPhone case and fled when loss-prevention officials attempted to stop him. The police officer conducted a traffic stop at Collins and Drew streets, and the suspect was arrested.

WHO NEEDS A SUNPASS?

1300 block of Oakdale Street. Vehicle Burglary. The victim reported unknown suspect(s) entered his 2012 Ford truck and stole $30 in quarters.

WHODUNNIT?

200 block of West Alexander Street. Criminal Mischief. While working as the outside cinema security officer, the police officer observed a section of the glass store front broken of the vacant building, formerly All Tune & Lube. The officer observed a pile of broken glass on the ground, but no object used to break the glass was found. The department attempted to contact the property owner, DDR, but no one was available over the weekend.

LAST DANCE WITH MARY JANE

Intersection of West Ball and South Evers streets. Possession of Drugs/Paraphernalia. The officer conducted a traffic stop and detected an odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE

Intersection of South Alexander and West Grant streets. Deadly Missile into Occupied Conveyance. The victim was driving north on South Alexander Street, when he approached a group of about 10 black male juveniles. The victim said one of the males in the group threw a stick, which hit the windshield and cracked it. The vehicle sustained a baseball sized crack. The victim was covered in glass but wasn’t injured. The group of males ran and were not located.

MARCH 17

JUST HELP YOURSELF

900 block of North Bracewell Street. Violation of a DVI. The suspect came to this residence and removed the outside window A/C unit for the victim’s bedroom. The victim called the police as the suspect was climbing into her room. The suspect then noticed the police were being called and fled the house, taking a small lunch pail, which contained some miscellaneous identifications cards. The suspect could not be located.

DOOR DRAMA

2200 block of Via Napoli Street. Grand Theft of Construction Material. The builder for the home arrived and noticed someone stole an uninstalled front door to the home. The front door is valued at $700. The door has glass front insert and side glass panels. The door was being stored in the unfinished home.

LOOK FOR THE SUSPECT WITH THE NEW DO

2400 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. The officer responded to the store, in reference to a theft of haircare products, a curling iron, a flat iron and a bottle of shampoo. The suspect was not located by officers, who canvassed the area.

THAT’S JUST MEAN

3600 block of West Baker Street. Stolen Bicycles. The victim advised that two unsecured bicycles were stolen from his property. The bikes were described as an unknown make pink princess-themed bike, with training wheels and a white basket, valued of $70; and a purple-and-white girls bike, valued at $90.

MARCH 18

WARDROBE MALFUNCTION

2100 block of James L. Redman Parkway. Retail Theft. The officer responded to the department store, in reference to a shoplifting. He met with a loss-prevention official and learned that two females had attempted to steal from the store. The first suspect attempted to steal $207.47 worth of clothes, and the second attempted to steal $195.58 worth of clothes.

GUN GONE

700 block of East Lee Street. Residential Burglary. The victim stated unknown suspect(s) broke into his home and stole his shotgun. He didn’t know the make or serial number, but the model was 410; it is valued at $250. The victim insists that the home was secure when he left. There was no apparent point of entry.

BEER BATH

500 block of West Ball Street. Domestic Battery. The officer responded to the domestic disturbance call and learned that the victim and his live-in girlfriend were involved in an altercation that turned physical when the suspect poured a beer on her boyfriend and struck him in the nose. While trying to identify each subject, the suspect became combative. She was arrested and transported to Orient Road Jail.
