January 2

Pain in the Glass – Burglary

600 block of E Alexander St

An officer was dispatched to the location in reference to a criminal mischief call for service. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant, who advised that on January 2, at around 10:00 a.m., he noticed the sliding glass door of the residence had been shattered, and the front door of the residence was left slightly ajar. The damage is approximately $700.00.

Unlicensed Crash – CCI

2800 block of James L Redman Pkwy

An officer responded to the location in reference to a vehicle crash. During the investigation, the officer met with the driver of the at-fault vehicle and requested a driver’s license, at which time she stated she did not have one. A FCIC/NCIC check via her name and date of birth revealed she never had one issued to her. She was subsequently issued a citation for the cause of the crash and a Criminal Citation for NVDL.

January 3

Copper Top – Theft

3400 block of W Baker St

Officers responded to the location in reference to a delayed theft. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who indicated the battery for his electric bicycle was stolen on January 2.

Fugitive Cyclist – Warrant Arrest

W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd/Waller St

An officer made contact with a subject after observing a bicycle infraction. An FCIC-NCIC check revealed an active Hillsborough County warrant for delivery of a controlled substance. The warrant was confirmed, and the subject was placed under arrest and transported to Orient Road Jail.

January 4

Only Going One Way – DUI

Baker St/Walker St

 An officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver traveling eastbound on W Baker St in a one-way lane of travel. The driver was charged with DUI and transported to Orient Road Jail.  

Scoot Away – Theft

3000 block of Baker Ct

An officer met with the victim, who advised that her scooter, valued at approximately $300, was stolen from the front yard of her residence.

Mass Conversion – Business Burglary

4600 block of Reece Rd

An officer met with the complainant, who reported six of their company trucks had two catalytic converters cut off each (12 in total).  The theft occurred sometime between December 30 and January 4 while the business was closed for the holidays. 

January 5

Stone Storm – Criminal Mischief

300 block of S Franklin St

An officer responded to the residence in reference to criminal mischief of a vehicle. The victim reported that someone had damaged his vehicle with rocks, causing dents and a broken windshield.

Splitting – Criminal Mischief

3200 block of Alcott Ave

An officer responded to the location in reference to a damaged door. The victim reported that someone had damaged the front door frame by unknown means, causing a split in the wood.

Inside Job – Burglary

500 block of N Woodrow Wilson St

An officer responded to the location in reference to a theft. The complainant reported that someone had entered the rooftop access door and removed a PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and a printer from the playroom.

Equipment Pilfering – Burglary

4300 block of S. Frontage Rd

An officer responded to the area in reference to the theft of construction equipment. The complainant reported that someone cut the lock off a storage container and removed multiple construction tools valued at approximately $10,000.

January 6

Roof Removal – Theft

3400 block of Amber Waves Dr

An officer responded to the location in reference to the theft of shingles taken from the roof. The complainant reported that someone had removed an order of shingles from the roof, valued at approximately $400.

Porch Pirate – Theft

3200 block of S Northview Rd

An officer responded to the residence regarding the theft of packages. The victim reported that someone had removed his Amazon package from the front porch.

Faker – Fraud

300 block of Eunice Dr

Officers responded to the PCPD lobby in reference to check fraud. The victim reported that someone intercepted a check she mailed and cashed it. The check was in the amount of $2,000.

January 7

Lesson Not Learned – Felony DUI

An officer responded to assist with a traffic crash investigation. The driver was charged with felony DUI (3rd offense within ten years), DUI property damage, and refusal to submit to testing.

January 8

Methy Expiration – Warrant Arrest

2200 block of N Park Rd

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a truck with an expired tag of July 2025. He made contact with the driver, who verbally identified himself. A check revealed the driver had an outstanding VOP warrant out of Bay County for VOP Possession of Methamphetamine/ Amphetamine No bond. PCPD dispatch confirmed the outstanding warrant. Officers responded and placed the driver under arrest for the outstanding warrant.  The driver was transported to Orient Road Jail.

Building a Foundation – Theft

2000 block of Airport Rd

An officer responded to the location regarding a theft. Upon arrival, he met with the complainant, who reported that 20 prefabricated steel pipes, totaling $7,500, were stolen sometime between December 19 and January 8.

Snacks for Friends – Felony Petit Theft

1100 block of S Park Rd

An officer responded to the location. The complainant reported that a female entered the business, retrieved $97.51 worth of merchandise from the shelves, and left the business, passing all points of sale and without offering to render payment.

Shein Shenanigans – Theft

4100 block of Barrett Ave

An officer met with the complainant, who advised that on December 16, she ordered several clothing items and jewelry from Shein. On December 21, she received an email for a “proof of package delivery,” notifying her that her package was dropped off on the front porch of the above-listed address. When she checked the front porch for her package at 8:00 p.m., the package was not there. The total value of the items inside the package was $231.00.
