+ Plant City Daybreak Rotary

Mark your calendar for an enjoyable evening with great food, local music, silent auction, drinks and cigars at Daybreak Rotary’s fourth annual Country Cracker Feast.

The feast takes place at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the home of George and Cassandra Banning, 2506 Clubhouse Drive.

+ Plant City Commons Community Garden

The Plant City Commons Community Garden will be hosting a non-GMO picnic potluck to celebrate Food Day from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the garden, 309 N. Carey St.

Created by the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest, Food Day is a nationwide celebration of the movement toward a more healthy, affordable and sustainable lifestyle.

Bring non-GMO food to share at the picnic.

+ Relay for Life Plant City

The committee for Relay for Life Plant City is still looking for a sponsorship chair for the 2014 event.

The sponsorship chair will be responsible for procuring pledges from local businesses in order to sustain the event, among other tasks.

+ Plant City Noon Rotary

Tickets for the annual Dancing with the Locals charity event are on sale. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at the HCC Plant City John R. Trinkle Center, 1206 N. Park Road.

Tickets are $100 each and include open bar, hors d’oeuvres and dessert at intermission. Sponsorship packets are also available for $300, $600 and $750.

Warriors at Heart is still trying to raise money for wreaths to put on military grave sites at Bushnell, as part of Wreaths Across America.

+ Plant City Entertainment

Plant City Entertainment is proud to announce its fall show, “Parallel Lives.”

“Parallel Lives” follows two supreme beings as they nonchalantly create the world, focusing on gender roles and everyday challenges. The common rituals of modern life are then illustrated throughout the play in satirical skits.

The show stars Mollie Anderson, Cindy Miller-Ray and Kim Sivret and is directed by Oliver Sprague, William Allen Richardson II and John Harrer.

Show dates will be Nov. 8 to 10 and 14 to 16, at the theater, 101 N. Thomas St., Plant City. Doors open at 7 p.m. for evening performances and 1 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

Tickets will be available at the door for $10 to $14. Advanced tickets and group rates are available at Hardee’s Fashions, 1501 N. Wheeler St.
