A masked carjacker took off from the Marathon gas station off Interstate 4 on Branch Forbes Road with two young children in the car Sunday, May 24.
At about 11 p.m., Susan Davidson, 61, of Hudson, stopped to get gas in her 2010 Chrysler minivan. She left the keys in the car while pumping gas. The masked suspect walked up, got in the van and drove off with her two grandchildren, a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, asleep in their car seats in the back.
The van was found abandoned one half mile away on the side of Branch Forbes Road at about 11:30 p.m. The children were still in their car seats and uninjured.
The only description of the suspect is a male with his face covered.
