BREAKING NEWS: The Rev. Dr. Michael Lewis leaving Plant City’s First Baptist Church

After three-and-one-half-years, the Rev. Dr. Michael Lewis is leaving the top post at Plant City’s First Baptist Church.

Lewis has accepted a position as executive director of church revitalization and pastoral relations for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.

“The North American Mission Board is focused on ‘penetrating the lostness’ of 259 million spiritually lost people by planting churches in major cities and by revitalizing churches that are declining and closing,” Lewis wrote in his blog. “The commission the Lord has given to me is to join Dr. Kevin Ezell, the president of NAMB and his team, to lead in an effort to encourage pastors and to revitalize declining churches.

“This calling of God is so strategically important, because hundreds of our pastors are discouraged and leaving the ministry every month, over 72% of our SBC churches are plataued and declining, and almost 900 of our churches close their doors each year,” he wrote.

Lewis’ last Sunday serving as Plant City’s First Baptist Church’s pastor will be Feb. 3.“>http://watchmycameras.com/vzyat-deneg-do-zarplati-1.php
