Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a shooting death near Plant City.
According to Sheriff’s Office reports, the office received a 911 call at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 29, from the home at 2005 Cimmaron Run Drive, north of Durant. The shooter (who is the one that called 911) stated he had shot an intruder to his home.
The victim and the shooter are known to each other and have had an ongoing dispute between them. Preliminary indications are it appears that the victim kicked in the door of the garage and was then shot by the resident.
At this time, detectives are writing up a search warrant for the residence and are hoping to gain entry to the residence to begin processing the scene. Detectives are still conducting interviews
No other information, including the names of the victim and the shooter, are available at this time.
