
The Plant City Police Department (PCPD) is actively investigating a call for service involving a deceased individual discovered on May 22. At approximately 1:53 p.m., PCPD officers responded to the area of Turkey Creek Road, just north of Country Hills Boulevard, following a report of a person found unresponsive along the roadway shoulder. A passerby initially observed the individual lying on the east side of the road and contacted emergency services. A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on scene shortly after and determined that the incident fell within the jurisdiction of the Plant City Police Department.
Upon arrival, PCPD officers located a 47-year-old white female who displayed clear signs of being deceased. The Plant City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was immediately notified and responded to the scene to assume investigative responsibility.
At this time, there are no indications of foul play or criminal activity associated with the incident. The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
