Caleb will be a freshman at Plant City High School this school year. He plays for Plant City Little league and is hoping to join PCHS Baseball team. His favorite positions are catcher and short stop!
How long have you been playing baseball?
I started playing about 10 years ago in T-ball.
What’s your favorite thing about baseball?
My favorite thing is getting big hits in big moments and being able to compete with and against my friends.
What’s your favorite memory involving baseball?
In our all-star tournament this summer, we were playing against the team that was the favorite to win the tournament, and had a runner on second with two outs in the bottom of the 3rd. I hit an RBI double and almost slid off the bag.
If you could make your own baseball team, what would you name it and what colors would the uniforms be?
I would name the team The Bulldogs with Orange and Black uniforms.
What’s an area in baseball that you want to improve?
My arm strength at catching
What’s a sport that you haven’t played on a team that you want to try and why?
Golf, because I think it looks fun.
When you’re not playing baseball, what are you doing in your free time?
I like to fish and watch baseball, especially the Rays.
What’s your favorite thing that you’ve done so far this summer?
My favorite thing I did was go on a baseball stadium tour with my grandpa. Went to Boston and got to visit Fenway Park and watch the Red Sox play. Then we went to NYC and got to watch the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium and the Mets play at Citi Field. We finished our trip in Baltimore where we watched the Orioles play at Camden Yards. We also made a trip to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. I also had the opportunity to represent Plant City in the Junior Allstar Tournament in Orlando this summer where we finished in 3rd place with my grandfather as our coach.
