How long have you been playing volleyball?
2 years
What’s your favorite thing about volleyball?
Being on the court. It is my happy place where my problems go away. My teammates are some of my best friends. I just love playing and love my club!!!
What’s your favorite memory involving volleyball?
That’s tough. I have a lot. Probably last year when I just started playing volleyball, and I made my first serve over in the tournament. It was a big tournament, and my coach trusted me in that moment, and I did it! My teammates were going crazy, and it made me feel proud!
Is volleyball something you want to continue playing in high school and college?
YES! I want to play for UF.
What’s the hardest thing about volleyball?
The pressure. Sometimes it feels like you can’t make any mistakes. But my club always reminds me that volleyball is a game of mistakes, which means there are no perfect rallies and to focus on the next ball.
What’s an area of volleyball that you want to improve in?
Learning different positions. I play outside hitter, and that is where I feel most confident, but it is important to know lots of positions.
When you’re not playing volleyball, what are you doing in your free time?
Practicing at home, playing with my friends, or squishy hunting.
What’s a sport that you haven’t played that you want to try?
Flag football. I think I might try out for Tomlin next year.
