How long have you been doing flag football, swimming, and tennis?
I have been playing tennis for six years. And when I went to high school, I decided to join the swim team and the flag football team.
Which of the three sports is your favorite to play and why?
My favorite sport to play is tennis because it allows me to play alone or play doubles with my teammates. I love being able to switch between the two styles of tennis play.
Which of the three sports is the hardest and why?
Flag football is the hardest sport because it is a team effort, but it is also the most physical sport I’ve played. Not only do you have to catch a pass, but then you have to run without getting your flag pulled
Which of the three sports do you think you’re best at?
I am the best at tennis. I have been playing for six years. This year, I played in the district finals, and my team and I moved on to regionals.
Which sport is the hardest to practice?
Flag football is the hardest to practice because it requires another person. In order to practice the fundamentals, I need a throwing partner or someone to snap the ball to.
What’s a sport that you haven’t played that you want to try?
I want to try pickleball. I recently bought paddles so I can go try the sport. All of my friends are always playing pickleball, so I look forward to joining them.
What’s your favorite memory from playing sports?
My favorite memory is district finals this year playing and cheering my team on. I loved watching my teammates play their best under pressure. I am also looking forward to serving my team as captain next year.
If you could give someone advice for wanting to try out for a sport, what would you tell them?
Do not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and make mistakes. What’s important is that you stay disciplined.
When you’re not playing sports, what are you doing in your free time?
When I am not playing sports, I enjoy spending time with family and taking part in extracurricular activities such as the American Sign Language Honors Society, National Honor Society, the National FFA organization, and the Impact club.
What are your plans for the Summer?
This summer, I am going to Colorado for two weeks. I am also attending tennis training this summer.
