Glenn is 12 years old and is currently in Cooperstown, New York, where he and his 12U Miracles Navy team are competing at the Cooperstown All-Star Village in Oneonta. Glenn has been on fire despite the cold weather, with 10 hits in 13 at-bats, including 3 home runs, 11 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases.
What’s it like playing in Cooperstown?
It’s been a really cool experience. It’s something I looked forward to for many years. It’s really cool to finally be here.
What’s been your favorite memory at Cooperstown thus far?
My first home run in Cooperstown.
When you’re not playing baseball at Cooperstown, what are you doing in your free time?
We’ve been playing hacky-sack, whiffle ball, trading baseball pins, and hanging with the team in the bunks.
How different is it playing in the cold in New York compared to the heat in Plant City?
It’s not that bad, doesn’t feel much different.
Have you preferred the morning or night games in the tournament and why?
Night because it’s fun playing under the lights and getting to sleep in.
Do you give the bleached hair any credit for your hitting success in Cooperstown?
It’s given me an aura.
What advice would you give to any future players when playing in the Cooperstown tournament?
Hit dingers and have fun.
