How long have you been playing baseball?
I have been playing since I was about 3 years old.
What positions do you play?
I can play third base, first base, and right-handed pitcher.
Talk to me about winning districts! How are you feeling?
It was just a great feeling overall, getting that last out on the mound and having my team come running out and have a dogpile was just a great feeling, it’s what we have been working for the whole season.
Getting the win in both district games is so impressive. Talk me through how important that was for you and the team.
It was super important, coming into two big spots and getting out of it with my defense making big plays is huge. Then, after that, having the confidence in the offense to get the run support to be up and to go out and not let the other team get any back is just super big.
Was winning districts your favorite memory of playing baseball? If not, what was it?
Winning districts is definitely my favorite memory of all my years playing. It’s just the feeling you get when that last out is made with your whole team behind you is just something you can’t explain.
Does this put any pressure on the team to repeat success going into next season for you and the guys?
It doesn’t put any pressure on us, it just sets the bar higher for what we are able to accomplish next year knowing that we can definitely do it and more.
When you’re not playing baseball, what are you doing in your free time?
I am always either doing things to get better for the next time I play or hanging out with friends and family.
When baseball season is over, what will you do to keep yourself occupied until next year?
Definitely to keep working in the gym this summer and playing tournaments to stay ready and be better for the following year.
