Jaxson Campbell
Jaxson is a 12-year-old at Marshall Middle School who plays basketball for the Knicks as part of the Sadye Gibbs Community Center’s Recreational basketball league.
How long have you been playing basketball?
I’ve been playing for 7 years and started playing for Tampa Park N Rec.
What’s your favorite thing about basketball?
It’s gotta be shooting!
What’s your favorite memory of playing basketball?
It was playing with my grandpa every day when we lived near them when I was younger.
What’s an area of basketball that you want to improve in?
I would have to say dribbling skills.
What’s it like getting moved around and playing for multiple teams this year for rec season?
Good. I get to interact with more people and get to know everybody.
When you’re not playing sports, what are you doing in your free time?
Either doing stuff for FFA or chilling at my home.
What is a sport you haven’t played that you want to try and why?
Baseball. It looks really fun.
If you could eat at any restaurant or fast food place after a team win, what place would you pick and what would you eat?
Fred’s Market. Rice, Mac N Cheese, Bread, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and chocolate ice cream (with the sprinkles).
