Observer turns six and July named Parks and Recreation month.

Observer turns six

The Plant City Observer celebrated its sixth anniversary on Wednesday. The first issue was printed on July 4, 2012. For six years the Observer has covered everything from nail-biting elections to heartwarming features on those who make this community so near.

We love this community and we cherish every moment we get to spend making sure that our neighbors are informed on the heartbeat of the town we all hold so dear. Thanks for coming along with us for the ride. We’re looking forward to another news-filled year.

Parks and Recreation month

City Commissioners recently announced July would be known as Parks and Recreation month to honor everything the Plant City Recreation and Parks Department’s staff and its volunteers does to keep the city in top condition.

In honor of the month spend your summer adventures at one of the many neighborhood parks and playgrounds found throughout the city.
