Florida Department of Transportation will be closing State Road 60 between State Road 39 and County Line Road in Hillsborough County starting at 6 a.m. Monday so CSX can replace sections of railroad tracks.

As long as the weather remains relatively clear the section of SR 60 should be closed for approximately 14 days, according to FDOT. No motorist will be able to cross the tracks for the entirety of the time period and should be prepared to detour by using SR 39, Alexander Street, Park Road, Baker Street and County Line Road. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.

Traffic is expected to be heavier on the corresponding roads as drivers alter their traffic pattern. For detour questions, email [email protected] or call 813-612-3200.
