Two suspects broke into the shoe store July 1.

A pair of shoe store burglars have Plant City gumshoes looking for leads.

At 12:41 a.m. July 1, two unknown suspects smashed the front window of the Famous Footwear store at 213 W. Alexander St. and stole several hundred dollars worth of shoes and socks before fleeing on bicycles. The suspects wore dark clothing and hooded jackets.

Plant City Police Department believes the suspects could also be two of those responsible for the string of cell phone store burglaries that occurred at the end of June, where three local stores were broken into in similar fashion. In those burglaries, suspects stole $6,600 worth of merchandise.

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information on the suspects. Anyone with information who wants to be eligible for the cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com, or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for the reward.
