The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Plant City Police Department.

Nov. 17

IN PLAIN SIGHT

3500 block of West Baker Street.
Theft: Complainant stated a black male subject stole her Samsung Galaxy Note 5 smart phone and Georgia driver’s license at a dollar store while she was paying for items at the cash register. The store’s security camera recorded the incident. The complainant declined to press charges and signed a waiver of prosecution.

 

Nov. 18

BULB BANDIT

900 block of South Collins Street.
Theft: Complainant stated a pair of Sylvania car headlight bulbs were stolen from an auto parts store.

 

Nov. 19

HOW COULD YOU BE SO HEARTLESS?

2310 block of Thackery Way.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle and stole a heart monitor, valued at $2,000, and other miscellaneous items overnight.

AIRING IT OUT

1800 block of James L. Redman Parkway.
Business burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) broke into a barber shop and stole an air compressor.

 

Nov. 20

TOOL TIME

3510 block of Kilmer Drive.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked Ford F-250 truck overnight and stole two bags of tools and a TomTom GPS.

 

Nov. 21

SOMEONE’S STEEL-ING

1650 block of Alumax Circle.
Burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered a business and stole welding equipment, valued at $10,000, between 5 p.m. Nov. 20 and 8 a.m. Nov. 21.

COULDN’T FIND A BOBBY PIN

2600 block of Thonotoassa Road.
Attempted burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) attempted to break into a hair salon through its back door but failed to pry it open. The suspect(s) caused damage to the latch plate, totaling $88.70, and it was repaired by a locksmith.

 

Nov. 22

FIND NEW FRIENDS

800 block of Whitehurst Road.
Battery: Complainant stated he was hit in the face by a friend during a confrontation. The complainant went to his friend’s house and was accused of sending a person to rob the friend. He was struck in the face and then left the property. Complainant declined to press charges and signed a waiver of prosecution.

 

Nov. 23

DAD’S GONNA BE MAD

3100 block of Emerson Place.
Stolen/recovered vehicle: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole her father’s vehicle overnight while she had custody of it. Tampa Police Department was able to locate the vehicle and made an arrest.

TENNESSEE’S COACHING SEARCH

900 block of South Waller Street.
Arson: Officers met with Plant City Fire Rescue personnel at Snowden Park and found several trash cans were set on fire. The fires were then extinguished, but not before they could damage the pavilion.

 

Nov. 24

PRICEY PLANT

2400 block of Timberlane Drive.
Grand theft: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) stole a staghorn fern plant from her property between 10 p.m. Nov. 23 and 9 a.m. Nov. 24. The plant, valued between $500 and $1,000, was removed when suspect(s) cut through a chain that held it.

CLEANED OUT

Multiple locations.
Vehicle/residential burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered his Ford F-350 truck and stole tools, clothes, cash and four sets of gold caps. During the investigation, officers learned the complainant’s apartment had also been burglarized and a TV, a safe, two Green Bay Packers football jerseys and six pairs of shoes were stolen.

 

Nov. 28

SAY ‘CHEESE’

100 block of West Reynolds Street.
Vehicle burglary: Complainant stated unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle and stole a Nikon camera and camera stand, valued together at $2,600.

 

Nov. 29

FLAGRANT FOUL

600 block of North Dort Street.
Criminal mischief: Complainant stated an unknown subject kicked his vehicle’s driver’s door window following an argument on a basketball court.
