We asked Facebook: How satisfied or dissatisfied are you with Governor Ron DeSantis’ plan to reopen Florida and the steps taken so far?

“I think he’s done a great job. Other than the terrible unemployment system he inherited, it’s been good. The problem is people who think they are invincible that gather and spread the virus. I’m a senior citizen and I protect myself and wife as much as I can, if you feel afraid stay isolated.” — Dennis Carroll

“It’s not a good look when your state’s leader is getting mad at people saying the unemployment system is broken and demands to know who hasn’t gotten their benefits in an indignant manner.” — Andrew Young

“I feel that he is doing a good job given the circumstances and what he has been given to work with. The shut down was necessary because as I have witnessed first hand, we can’t expect people to exercise the needed precautions. Sometimes it takes laws and mandates for people to do the right thing.” — Christine Wynne

“Can’t stand the man.” — Carolyn Roberts Bolesta

“Pretty much… no matter what he says or does…. someone is going to find fault. Even President Trump said, if he had known what he knows now… he would not have closed it down totally. Oh my what perfect vision hindsight is!!! If every human had been washing their hands and using hand sanitizer the way it is made to be used, a lot of this would not have put us where we are now. So maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to point fingers as to who did what and what/how they are doing it.” — Linda Stanaland Wetherington

“DeSantis is a Trump sycophant. We will all soon learn whether opening up businesses was wise.” — Pamela Mills

“Really great. Needs to get unemployment fixed, but great job through the crisis!” — Scott McIntosh

“Strong leader. Very pleased with all he has done.” — Debbie Gillespie
