AMVETS Post 44 busy this holiday season

AMVETS Post 44 off of State Road 60 participated in plenty of holiday charity events. On Nov. 23, members cleaned up two miles of road from Turkey Creek Road west past the Hillsborough Fairgrounds.

Following the clean-up event, AMVETS Post 44 Ladies Auxillary stuffed backpacks with toiletries for the homeless, which were given out around Hillsborough County.

During its fifth annual toy drive, Post 44 partnered with Toys for Tots. A police escorted led motorcyclists from Post 44 to Uncle Mike’s Smokehouse to raise funds and collect toys for the cause.
