Amber Alert issued for Tampa children

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued this afternoon an Amber Alert for two Tampa children.

According to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports, at about 6:30 a.m. this morning, Joshua and Sharyn Hakken entered the residence at 14040 Shady Shores Drive, Tampa. The house belongs Patricia Hauser, maternal grandmother of Cole Hakken, 4, and Chase Hakken, 2.

Joshua Hakken tied up Hauser, removed the children and fled in Hauser’s 2009 Silver Toyota Camry. The children could possibly be in a Black 2006 GMC pickup, Florida plate U95KT, registered to Joshua Hakken. Both suspects are anti-government and have attempted a previous abduction at gunpoint in Louisiana.

Joshua Hakken, a white male, is 35 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Sharyn Hakken, a white female, is 34 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Cole Hakken is 3 feet, 9 inches tall, 44 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Chase Hakken is 3 feet tall, 33 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Anyone with any information regarding the location of these children are asked to immediately dial 911 or call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200. Both subjects are considered armed and dangerous.
